Our team competed against developers and builders from across the Asia-Pacific, building and presenting an innovative application on the XRP Ledger — and came out on top.

The XRPL Hackathon @ XRP Australia 2026 was organised by the XRP Ledger Foundation in partnership with Ripple Impact's University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI) — a global programme connecting leading universities with the blockchain ecosystem. The event brought together student developers from across the Asia-Pacific to build real-world applications on the XRP Ledger.
2. XRPL Hackathon — Build Weekend
Following the conference, the XRPL Hackathon brought together developers and builders to design, prototype, and present innovative applications on the XRP Ledger. The hackathon forms part of a global initiative by Ripple Impact and the University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), focused on advancing real-world blockchain solutions through emerging talent.
In-person building sessions were held in Sydney across the weekend, giving participants the opportunity to engage directly with the evolving blockchain ecosystem — from strategic industry dialogue to hands-on product development.
