NUS Fintech SG is running a programme where students learn about the contemporary topics and the relevant technology in the FinTech industry! Our students also carry out their own real-time projects to apply technological solutioning in the financial industry. They are inspired to learn the skills needed in a FinTech career.
We selected some sample group & individual projects conducted by these students. Each project covers different key technology and emerging skills leading the FinTech space. These projects include algorithmic trading, blockchain for real estate service, and open banking among others!

Amit Raina
Amit has 15 years of experience in the financial industry. working as a fixed income rates trader across various banks, at present he’s working with the risk management group in Citibank Singapore. He has a background in electrical engineering, and is well acquainted in python, C++, HTML, JS. His areas of interests include learning about the latest developments in the field of Machine Learning and Fintech.
Daniel Koh
Daniel has been working in the Information Technology industry for more than 30 years and obtained his Master of Business in Information Technology from RMIT University (Australia), a Specialist Diploma in International Trading and Human Resource graduate certificate from Singapore Management University. He has recently completed the SGUS Programme in International Financial Technology (FinTech) from National University of Singapore. Prior to becoming a HR and IT project consultant, Daniel has over 25 years as a sales and business advisor assisting organizations with their business and IT operational issues and HR transformation challenges. He worked with many executives from mid to senior executive level, championing business process improvement with design thinking methodologies. He has also helped many enterprises develop and implement IT, HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. His accomplishments resulted in practical cost-effective programs that improved business results.
Shanker Manokaran
Shanker has a decade of experience in managing ICT in the hospitality industry.
Phil Woods
Phil is the Founder and CEO of the Abele Group, a Singapore based fintech firm focused on delivering advanced technological solutions in financial services. He teaches courses on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology use cases through the NUS Fintech Lab. Prior to the Abele Group, Phil spent 15 years working in financial services at UBS Investment Bank and Citigroup in Markets businesses. Phil is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point where he studied History and Civil Engineering. Phil served as a US Army Aviation Officer prior to embarking upon a corporate career.
