Key Responsibilities

  • As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) you will help build a meaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to develop creative engineering solutions to operations problems.
  • Much of our support and software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and reducing work through automation.
  • You’ll join a team of curious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are thinking big and taking risks.
  • As an SRE you’ll be focused on running better production applications and systems.
  • SRE is a key contributor to core infrastructure and functional development teams throughout the life cycle to help support software for reliability and scale.
  • Key areas of focus include automation, application/platform uptime and quality, packaging/distribution techniques, platform design “operability”, analytics, deployment, adoption, and tool development, among others.
  • The position will wear many hats from owning day to day health and performance, to identifying incidents/developing remediation plans, to working with open source software and experienced packaging techniques, to working with development teams and contributing to the strategic roadmap and execution.
  • Candidates from a variety of software, platform, or automation engineering backgrounds will be considered for this position.

Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, information technology, computer science, or similar.
  • 3+ years professional experience in a software management position.
  • Experience with dockers / containers / k8s.
  • Direct production operations experience in a cloud environment.
  • Experience contributing to technology and product strategy.
  • Experience leading capability building initiatives across diverse areas such as infrastructure and operations automation, software quality, delivery automation and other core engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience of driving operational efficiency and transparency of a growing engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and write with the cutting edge GO language to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Digibank’s range of services
  • Work with engineering team to explore and create new design / architectures geared towards scale and performance
  • Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards
  • Engage in service capacity and demand planning, software performance analysis, tuning and optimization
  • Collaborate with product and experience teams to define and prototype feature specifications
  • Work closely with infrastructure team in building and scaling back-end services as well as performing root cause analysis investigations
  • Design, build, analyze and fix large-scale systems
  • Learn full stack performance tuning and optimization
  • Debug and modify complex, production software

Skills & Competencies

  • A Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related fields with strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
  • 1+ years of experience in software engineering in a distributed systems environment
  • Possess excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities with proven design skills, able to think critically of the current system in terms of growth and stability
  • You can be a good coder in any language (C++, C, Java, Scala, Rust, Haskell, OCaml, Erlang, Python, Ruby, PHP, Node.JS, C# etc.), but willing to work on Golang

 

Tech Stack:

Our core services tech stack consists of Golang with Redis, MySQL, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch data stores as well as HAProxy load balancers. They all run on the AWS cloud infrastructure with auto-scaling abilities.

Our mobile app platform coverage includes native iOS and Android, written in Swift and RxJava.  Our Command Center front-end is built on Rails, HTML5, CSS and Javascript.

We use GitHub for our code repository and we adhere to the basic Continuous Delivery tenets utilising a host of tools to support our release pipeline and code quality. These include Travis CI, New Relic, PullReview, Code Climate, Papertrail, Gemnasium, JFrog and Jenkins.

As one of the first and leading members of the Digibank design team, you will have the opportunity to define and shape the Digibank tone and experience through language. As an experienced content designer, you would be confident in taking the lead to ensure consistent implementation of Digibank’s voice across various platforms and channels. You will own the planning, creating and governing the content for all products that come your way, which means demonstrating long-term strategic thinking, while still keeping an eye on minute details that matter. It’s likely that you’ll find yourself at the centre of an diverse ecosystem made up of internal stakeholders and external vendors, so you’ll need to bring your A-game when it comes to communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Work on delivering the English content for Digibank’s mobile app, web platform, and other tools without close supervision
  • Work collaboratively with Product Designers, Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers and external vendors to deliver the best possible experience, while retaining our brand voice
  • Take initiative, anticipate problems, and enable your working teams to develop solutions
  • Champion a team culture of openness and collaboration
  • Develop and implement best practices that aid in consistent execution of content across platforms
  • Comfortable in applying user insights and metrics to ensure effective quality content

Skills & Competencies

  • Outstanding UX writing and editing skills in English
  • Ability to simplify financial jargon for the everyday customer
  • Able to make effective content decisions based on solid rationale which aligns with both user needs and the company vision
  • Understand the customer journey from the point of view of the contents and ensure there is no difference in UX across all touchpoints
  • Open and adaptable to new ideas
  • Excellent time management, stakeholder management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to resolve issues diplomatically
  • Able to collaborate using remote collaboration tools
  • Relevant experience using the Agile methodology and MVP approaches

 

The Good-to-Haves:

  • Background in communications, social sciences, humanities, or a writing-related field

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy analytical solutions across a variety of business functions, including, but not limited to: customer acquisition, customer retention, product development, pricing decisions, credit risk, fraud identification and many other business needs within Digibank for both retail and wholesale banking customers
  • Manage and own the entire end-to-end lifecycle of building and validating predictive models along with their deployment and maintenance.
  • Interface with business, risk & operation teams across the bank to formulate solutions & product changes informed by your findings and business inputs/reality.
  • Work independently or in a team to solve complex problem statements.
  • The day-to-day activities: Build predictive models using a mix of machine learning and traditional analytics methods.
  • Validate models on new datasets, based on in-market performance.
  • Engineer predictive features from internal data assets to build refined customer profiles. Identify external data assets to bring into the model mix.
  • Track model performance KPIs and improve performance of analytic models developed
  • Stay current on cutting edge machine learning tools and approaches.

Skills & Competencies

  • Significant relevant experience (At least 4 years of experience) in building and deploying machine learning and predictive model solutions on large amounts of data.
  • Advanced degree preferred: Masters degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in coding and modelling skills in Spark, Python, R, SQL, Presto, Hive proficiency
  • Deep technical and data science expertise, including experience in the following:​
  • Analytical methods: statistical modeling (e.g., logistic regression, time series, CHAID, PCA), supervised machine learning (e.g., random forests, neural networks), unsupervised learning, design of experiments, segmentation/clustering, text mining, network analysis and graphical modelling, optimization, simulation
  • Experience building in-production models, including associated scripting, error handling and documentation
  • Understanding of trade-offs between model performance and business needs.
  • Strong record of professional accomplishment
  • Highly self-driven, demonstrate critical thinking, team player & fast learner
  • Work experience and knowledge of more than one domain is a plus – Risk Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Telecom analytics, Retail analytics, Fraud analytics etc.
