The NUS FinTech SG Programme was launched on 6 July 2020 with a virtual soft launch event. We were honoured to have Mr Yap Chee Yuen, Group CIO of Surbana Jurong, Mr Hajo Provó Kluit, Deputy Head of Mission and Head, Economic Department of the Netherlands Embassy and Mr James Aylen, UBS Head of Innovation as the Guest-of-Honours.
The event was kicked off by Dean Mohan Kankanhalli, Dean of NUS School of Computing with the opening address and sharing on personal experience on life-long learning from Prof Alex Siow, Director of Strategic Technology Management Institute (STMI), hosted by Assoc Prof Keith Carter, Director of FinTech Lab.
This new programme aims to nurture Singapore’s next generation of Financial Technology (FinTech) talents and full stack developers. It is a Professional Certificate Programme developed by academia and leading FinTech industry players. Students will have the option to access SGUnited traineeships and employment opportunities with partner enterprises.
