1 APAC Reconciliations Analyst

 

 

 

 

 

FNZ is an asset custodian. This means we hold client assets in our names as nominee and are responsible for the administration of those assets. As part of the administration function FNZ have a duty to have robust control processes are in place and working effectively to ensure platform functionality/accuracy.  Reconciliations is an integral part of these key controls.

As a Reconciliations Analyst you will be located within the Asset Services division of FNZ Ltd and will be responsible for the control function which ensures that the cash and asset positions recorded on the FNZ platform for our underlying clients within the APAC region align and are accurate to those records held on our behalf by the various 3rd party sub‐custodians and banks for a range of investment products across New Zealand and international markets.

For any positions that do not align, you will need to complete an in-depth investigation process of the exceptions and complete the necessary actions to manage the exceptions through to resolution.

Role Responsibility

  • Souring of raw data from both FNZ platform and various 3rd party custodians/banks. Validation, formatting and uploading of source data to platform.
  • ·        Creation of cash and asset reconciliation reports including exception identification. within agreed timeframes. Investigation of exceptions between FNZ platform records and sub‐custodian or 3rd party and registry holdings. Identification and allocation of exceptions to appropriate team for resolution.
  • ·        Distribution of reconciliation reports to key operational teams within agreed timeframes. Liaising with appropriate internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure that allocated exceptions are resolved in a timely manner. Management of exceptions until cleared from the reconciliation report.
  • ·        Generation of exception summary reports for management and/or clients where required. Raising and escalating of any potential risk issues to management as per agreed escalation matrix.
  • ·        Asset instruments include (but not limited to) equities, bonds, managed funds, term deposits and debentures. Cash reconciliations include all client deposits, withdrawals, trades, corporate actions and sweep transactions.
  • ·        Completion of daily control checks to ensure that system controls are working effectively.
  • ·        Working with other team members and management to enhance processes for greater efficiencies and controls within the business. Undertake any other projects/tasks as may reasonably be required to facilitate the smooth operation of the company.
  • ·        Establish and maintain relationships with market data service providers, custodians, brokers and other third parties to promote the highest level of communication and operational efficiency and resolve any service level issues.
  • ·        Maintain records and issue logs to ensure the processes are transparent to regulators and external auditors regarding breach and reconciliation recording.
  • ·        Prioritise to ensure all tasks are completed on time and within agreed operational deadlines and client contractual requirements. Updating and maintenance of all reconciliation operational procedures and checklists

2 APAC Product and Pricing Analyst

 

 

 

 

Role Description             

FNZ is an asset custodian. This means we hold client assets in our names as nominee and are responsible for the administration of those assets.

The position is located within the Operations division of FNZ and has responsibility for updating and managing of the pricing of Equity and Fixed Income products on the Wrap platform across New Zealand, Australia and international markets. The role also involves accurate set up and maintenance of all trading instruments on the Wrap platform including exception reporting and instrument & pricing controls.

Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure that pricing for Equity and Fixed Income products in Wrap are true and accurate
  • Ensure instruments are setup accurately for reporting, trading and valuation in a timely manner
  • Ensure instrument maintenance, including exception reporting and instrument controls, are conducted regularly
  • Ensure that any untimely, inconsistent and potentially erroneous pricing issues are communicated effectively to necessary parties in a timely manner for the purpose of rapid resolution
  • Establishes relationships with market data service providers, custodians, brokers and other third parties to promote the highest level of communication and operational efficiency and resolve any service level issues
  • Maintain records and log issues to ensure the pricing and instrument maintenance processes are transparent to regulators and external auditors regarding Breach and Reconciliation Recording.

  • Build and deploy desktop equipment
  • Responsible for providing technical assistance to 500+ end users of IT services in NZ and the APAC region
  • User onboarding and offboarding. Shipping equipment to users may require.

Role Description             

The Project manager is responsible for the end to end management of projects to contracted time, quality, and budget requirements. This will involve leadership of a distributed project team in multiple locations, and the proactive identification, management and resolution of risks and issues throughout the full project lifecycle.

This may involve the delivery of a single large scale project or multiple smaller projects.

This is a client facing role and requires the ability to build strong relationships with customers, often at a senior level.

 

Specific Role Responsibilities

Delivery Management

  • Manage the delivery of the project through the full project lifecycle, from initiation through to implementation.
  • Ensure the project delivers in-line with the FNZ SDLC and PLC.
  • Develop and maintain an end to end project plan that delivers the agreed scope of the project to time, budget and quality criteria.
  • Take accountability for working with all FNZ Directorates/areas to agree scope, timelines and artefacts in order to ensure delivery of the project in line with overall agreed plan.
  • Take ownership for the overall estimating process for the project, and working collaboratively with the Lead Business Analyst, the Build Manager, and the Test Manager, estimate the work effort required to deliver the project scope within the agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Provide timely, precise, accurate and comprehensive project MI and reporting to the PMO, Head of Delivery and Account Director as required
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies through the full project lifecycle. Ensure mitigation plans are in place for all risks and issues, and take ownership for ensuring these mitigation plans are executed, or escalate to the Account Director or Head of Delivery as is appropriate.
  • Ensure project changes are managed in line with the FNZ SDLC and PLC, and all commercial changes to the project are agreed with the Account Director.
  • Ensure all 3rd party suppliers are engaged appropriately and contracts are in place and managed to ensure the required outcomes for FNZ.
  • Ensure all operational readiness activities are undertaken in line with the FNZ SDLC and PLC, and that appropriate training and handover takes place ahead of implementation.
  • Ensure the project conducts a post implementation review and that lessons learned are captured and shared with the rest of the PM community

Team Leadership

  • Lead, manage and motivate a virtual team in multiple geographic locations, communicating project progress, and ensuring all team members take accountability for delivery.

5 Cyber Security Engineer

 

 

 

 

Role Profile:

At FNZ we take security seriously, our growing of the security organisation reflects this.  We are developing a class leading security function and are looking for passionate people to join our team.

You will have a technical skillset, with recent experience in architecting and engineering cyber security solutions. We would especially like to hear from you if you have experience in Vulnerability Management, Data Loss Prevention, Network Protection or Endpoint Protection. You will also need good written and spoken communication skills to be able to successfully implement new processes and solutions across FNZ. You will build close working relationships with the various ‘CIO’ teams to ensure our data centres, networks and end user environments are appropriately secure.

Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Protecting our cloud environments, data centres, networks and end user computing and being able to provide assurance that our cyber security is working.
  • Supporting the creation of and implementing our infrastructure security strategy
  • Designing and implementing cyber security solutions such as Email Security, Vulnerability Management, Data Loss Prevention and Endpoint Protection.
  • Act as a security subject matter expert as required, engaging with architects, engineers and product teams across the organisation
  • Driving engagement with the engineering teams leading to a culture of secure build and management of our systems
